About the show
What is the Great British Shooting Show all about? Three days at the NEC every February, but it is much more than a weekend of browsing and buying. Here are six things the show is for, whether you have never handled a firearm or have spent a lifetime in the trade.
- 12, 13 & 14 February 2027
- NEC, Birmingham
- Running since 2008

01 · For everyone
An opportunity to educate and inform
The best way to ensure safety, security and a promising future for shooting sports is through education and information. Exploring the safe practices around buying, handling, maintaining, storing, securing, transporting, licensing and owning a firearm in the UK is an excellent starting point for anyone coming into the sport.
The show gives you a safe and relaxed environment to explore the sport. Talk to the professionals, get a real feel for the products and the safety practices behind them, and make a well-informed decision before you buy.
The show caters for everyone, from beginners who have never picked up a firearm to seasoned professionals keeping up to date with the latest safety measures and information.
The shooting industry is among the most highly regulated sectors in the UK, and we treat security and responsible firearms practice with the utmost seriousness.
02 · For the trade
A business platform for the shooting industry
We are not exaggerating when we say that our exhibitors experience remarkable business outcomes at the show. Whether it is wholesalers and distributors securing unprecedented orders, or retailers surpassing their sales targets thanks to a public eager to buy, the show has consistently proven itself a reliable and effective platform.
Year after year the event exceeds the expectations of even the most sceptical traders, continually improving and evolving. So if you are in the trade, seeking the latest innovations, running your own shop or looking for new contacts to expand your network, the show provides everything you need to grow your business within the shooting industry, at home and internationally.
Consider your business and the British Shooting Show a success story in the making.

03 · For visitors
A shopping experience for the consumer
The show seamlessly brings together the trade and retail sides of the industry. Product trade, distribution and marketing sit alongside the crucial retail element that lets you engage personally with the manufacturers, which is where the best one-to-one information, tips and advice come from.
After speaking with a manufacturer, you can be pointed straight to a retailer within the show and buy on the spot, without ever leaving the event.
The British Shooting Show pioneered this process in the UK shooting industry, earning widespread acclaim from manufacturers, retailers and the visiting public. With each passing year we refine and enhance it, so you can both explore and acquire the products you want, all within the comfortable and secure environment of the NEC halls.
Often imitated. Never duplicated.
Trade and retail under one roof, manufacturers and retailers side by side, and a visiting public who come to buy. Nobody else does it quite like this.
04 · For the next generation
A place to inspire future sporting legends
Our mission is to ignite the enthusiasm of young people for shooting sports, and to open up avenues for professional mentoring, training, access to clubs and colleges, financial support, competitions and involvement with the relevant organisations. Everyone has to start somewhere, and just imagine the heights they could reach.
Did you know that shooting has featured on almost every Olympic programme since the games began? We take immense pride in Team GB's long history of success in Olympic shooting. Could you, or someone you know, be the next gold medallist for Team GB?
- 46 Olympic shooting medals for Team GB
- 13 of them gold (bravo!)

05 · For the countryside
A platform for conservation
Conservation holds a pivotal role in every facet of shooting sports. It is not merely about shooting and taking; it is about giving back, preserving the natural ecosystem and showing respect for biodiversity and wildlife. Game and wildlife management are integral to conservation, keeping the British countryside preserved and nurtured for the benefit of the whole nation, non-shooters included.
If you are on the fence about shooting sports or gun ownership, or have questions about the sustainability of shooting, the show is the ideal place to ask them.
Leading conservation bodies from across the UK are at the show, ready to answer your questions and help you gain a deeper understanding of shooting sports and best conservation practice, and of the work that goes on for wildlife, biodiversity and the countryside all year round.
06 · For licence holders
A place to speak with the police
The British Shooting Show is a pioneer in bringing visitors face to face with police forces from across the country. For the first time ever at an event, the show offered licence variations during the show itself, a groundbreaking step that reflects our commitment to simplifying communication with police forces nationwide and helping to clear the backlog in firearms licensing.
Firearms licensing teams are on the show floor, so you can ask your questions in person.
By fostering collaboration and communication, we aim to help individuals and authorities alike work towards the common goal of a more efficient and effective licensing process. The show is proud to be a platform that not only showcases the latest in shooting sports but actively addresses the issues that matter to the shooting community.
